DBCo Scholarship Application 2013

Dear Dallas Ballet Company Members,

Every year the Dallas Ballet Company Guild has the pleasure of awarding summer workshop scholarships to talented DBCo dancers who have been a member of the Dallas Ballet Company for at least one year. Attending summer workshops to enrich and enhance your dance education is important. We highly recommend applying for the DBCo Guild Scholarship. We look forward to many applicants and take pride in assisting you in your wonderful summer experiences. Seniors are welcome to apply. There will be a parent meeting at 8:30 on February 6, 2013 in Studio “A” following rehearsal to answer questions.

ABOUT THE APPLICATION
The Dallas Ballet Company Guild awards scholarships to students of any sex, race, color, national or ethnic origin. If, for any reason, the recipient does not attend a workshop, the money will not be awarded. If the recipient is dismissed from a program or is in violation of DBCo Standards while in attendance at the workshop, repayment of this grant is the obligation of the parent or guardian. The decisions of the DBCo Guild Scholarship Committee will be final. The scholarship(s) will be awarded to a DBCo member(s) who has been accepted at a recognized summer dance workshop program through an audition process or approval of the DBCo Artistic Director, who intends to attend the workshop regardless of scholarship receipt, and who has submitted a completed application by the due date.

Attached is an application for the DBCo Guild Scholarship and a Parent’s Statement. These items must be in the office of the Dallas Ballet Center no later than 5pm on or before February 16, 2013. No late applications will be accepted.

Please fill out the application completely. Be sure to attach a photo to the application, and do not forget to attach the personal statement.
